Chainmail Armor

Chainmail is made of interlocking metal rings, it is always worn over a layer of padded fabric or soft leather, to prevent chafing and to lessen the impact of blows. Chainmail is certainly the best armor value for those who cannot yet afford (or gain materials for) heavier armors. Vulnerable areas have multiple thicknesses. Weight falls upon the shoulders and waist of the wearer.
