Essence Of Elementalism

Essences are a collection of spirits that, with a sorcerors skill, become tangible they are neither gas nor liquid but can be contained in a glass bottle for future use in spells or enchantments. Many spirits are needed to make even a single essence sometimes the spirits are of small easily killed creatures other times they require the spirits of big tougher creatures and a few even the toughest creatures of them all. The essence of all things elemental, to a rune mage this is invaluable though banned from the scholam of rune lore in Aganippe due to the fact that only the richest families can afford it and the council of rune lords believe it should be open to all based on talent to succede or fail, not on the size of their gold pouch.
